Karen L. Mayer is the firm’s Managing Partner and practices law
in Florida, Connecticut, and New York.
In the community, Karen serves on the Planned Giving Advisory Committee and Miles4Men Prostate Cancer Awareness Committee for Morton Plant Mease Foundation. She is a volunteer coach for the Upward Sports Ministry flag football league at Calvary Church. When she’s not working or volunteering you will find her competing in outrigger canoe and stand up paddle boarding (SUP) races.
Prior to starting her own practice, Ms. Mayer was an Associate at reputable law firms in Greenwich and Stamford, CT. She served as a clerk with the Stamford Superior Court in family and civil court working closely with the judges and as a liaison to attorneys. Her experience in CT formed her into a very respectable attorney among her peers and judges. The Greenwich Probate Court presented her with the Pro Bono Award in 2008 related to her legal representation for a father in a complex child custody battle after the mother’s death. She received a B.A. degree in Journalism/Mass Communications from Samford University and a J.D. degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in three states and numerous federal courts, including the United States District Courts for the District of Connecticut, Southern and Northern District of New York, and Middle District of Florida.
Her experience spans a broad base of legal matters, including personal injury, family law, estate planning, probate, copyright and trademark protection, licensing agreements, business disputes, professional liability, property disputes, civil rights claims, landlord tenant issues, and foreclosure defense.
